Description
Our General Familiarisation Course offers a fantastic opportunity to become familiar with the Airbus A320 Family aircraft; both classic engine option (CEO) and new engine option (NEO) with CFM 56-5, IAE V2500, CFM LEAP & PW 1100G engines covered along with some of the differences found on the NEO aircraft compared to the CEO version.
The course is a level 1 type course which is designed to provide you with a simple description of the aircraft and systems.
The General Familiarisation will cover an introduction to all the different aircraft systems, interactions and give you a working knowledge of how the aircraft functions at a basic level.
Target audience
The General Familiarisation course can be used by EASA Part 66 category A licensed staff and airline / aircraft support staff or anyone requiring a basic knowledge of an aircraft type. It can also be used as a Refresher course after being away from the type for a period of time and offers an excellent way refresh your knowledge of the aircraft systems.
This course can also be used for Mechanics based in the USA.
Aims
The course will allow you to define the general layout and characteristics of the aircraft’s major systems and powerplant along with identifying safety precautions related to the airframe, its systems and powerplant.
When you complete the course and associated online continual assessment exam’s you will be issued with a certificate for the course.

Duration
Suggested duration for completion is 40 hours of learning.
Interval for continuation
There is no requirement to have interval continuation training for this course. The course can be used for many purposes such as refreshing knowledge after being away from the type for a period of time or introducing the type initially.
