Description
The one day (6 hour) A321XLR Differences Course is a Level 3 differences course for licensed engineers and certifying staff who already know the Airbus A321neo and need the differences before working on and certifying the A321XLR. It covers the A321XLR as fitted with CFM LEAP-1A and PW 1100G engines, the A321XLR-253NY and A321XLR-271NY. Every system section starts from the A321neo you know and then walks you through what the XLR changed, why Airbus changed it, how it works, and what it means for you on the aircraft. This includes the rear centre tank, the e-Rudder, the single-slotted flap and new take-off configurations, the reinforced landing gear, the main landing gear bay fire detection, the multi-functional runway lights, and the Airspace cabin.
The course also includes the A320neo family STEP4 differences. STEP4 is the Airbus package that is carrying XLR features across to the A320neo and A321neo and introducing new features to all three aircraft. On a mixed fleet, the model name no longer tells you what is fitted, and this course prepares you to recognise it.
This is a differences course, not a type course. You should hold, or be completing, the Airbus A320 family type rating with the LEAP-1A or PW1100G engine before taking it. It is important to realise the scope and intent of the course before proceeding. If you are unsure, or book the incorrect course, you can always contact us and we will be happy to help at info@oat.aero.
Target audience
